Pigeon Guano & Bird Fouling Removal in Bristol & the South West
Specialist removal, decontamination and bird-proofing for commercial properties across Bristol, Cardiff, Newport, Bath and the wider South West and Wales.

Bird droppings are far more than an eyesore. Pigeon guano harbours bacteria and fungal spores linked to illnesses such as histoplasmosis and psittacosis, and its acidity gradually eats into stonework, render, roofing and metalwork. Left to build up on ledges, gutters, walkways and signage, fouling becomes a slip hazard, a reputational problem and a genuine health risk for staff, visitors and the public.
Disturbing dried guano without the right training and protective equipment releases harmful particles into the air, so this is not a job for in-house cleaners. Our DBS-checked, fully insured teams handle the whole process, from risk assessment and safe removal through to decontamination and deterrents that keep birds from returning. With over 40 years of industry experience behind us, facilities managers from Swindon to Swansea trust us to put fouled spaces safely back into use.

Pigeon guano & bird fouling: frequently asked questions
Why can't we just clean up bird droppings ourselves?
Dried guano can release fungal spores and bacteria into the air when disturbed, carrying a risk of illnesses such as histoplasmosis and psittacosis. Without the right protective equipment, decontamination products and training, an in-house clean can spread contamination and put staff at risk, which is why specialist removal is the safer choice.
Do you remove the birds and nests as well?
We carry out the clean-up, decontamination and bird-proofing once any birds and active nests have been legally dealt with. Wild birds and their nests are protected, so removal must be handled lawfully, and permission from DEFRA may be required before work begins. We are happy to advise on the right order of steps.
Can you stop the pigeons coming back?
Yes. After removal and decontamination we install proofing such as netting and spikes on the ledges, gutters, roof cavities and other spots birds favour. This deters re-roosting so you are not paying to clear the same fouling again a few months later.
Which areas do you cover for bird fouling removal?
We are based in Bristol and serve commercial properties across the South West and South Wales, including Bath, Gloucester, Swindon, Exeter, Cardiff, Newport and Swansea. Get in touch with your location and we will confirm availability.
Will the work disrupt our business?
We plan around your operating hours and can work evenings or weekends where access allows, keeping affected areas cordoned off while we work. Our aim is to return the space to use safely with minimal interruption to your staff and visitors.
